Lache

A lache is a controlled swing-and-release between hanging bars or rings. Distance, timing, and grip transition determine success.

Common Mistakes

  • Releasing at the top of the swing instead of the apex of forward momentum
  • Tucking the legs and killing momentum
  • Grabbing with closed fists instead of an active hook grip

Training Focus

  • Hollow-body to arch swing transitions
  • Eye focus on the catch bar
  • Progressive distance laches
